A fire hose reel that meets BS standards provides a consistent and rapid water flow to mitigate a potential Class A fire risk. In buildings with cabinet protection, it is wall mounted. To control water flow from wet risers to hose, an inline or external valve is provided. A fixed fire hose reel can only revolve in one plane. Swinging fire hose reels can move along the swing arm as well. Fire Hose Reels are used for short-distance firefighting within structures (generally Class A fires).
